Casa Shipibo is an extraordinary camp; it is raw, real and authentically non-commercial. You will be taken back in time and live on the land as the locals have for thousands of years.
Rustic and isolated Casa Shipibo is six to seven hours by boat from Iquitos, the nearest city with an airport. Iquitos in itself is the world’s most isolated jungle city. You immediately feel immersed in the power and presence of the living Amazon jungle.
Casa Shipibo makes everyone feel at ease, peaceful, and free. It is away from all the worries of the outside world. With no wifi, cell phone coverage, electricity, running water, flushable toilets, showers, and typically Western luxuries, you are stripped back to basics on every level to connect with the real, authentic version of yourself. It truly is an opportunity to “disconnect to reconnect”.
The energy of the camp is alive and palatable, with the many spirits of the jungle, including the World Tree El-Shingo, who is the protector and guardian of the Amazon jungle. You will visit El Shingo and be able to commune with this master spirit during your stay.
