I am Juni, a plant and healing maestro, born deep in the jungle and the founder of Casa Shipibo. From my earliest memories, I have possessed a unique gift, as recognized by the Shipibo culture. Chosen from birth, I was destined to help people to healing through the use of medicinal plants.
I began to actively harness and use this gift when I was just 17, practising within my home city of Pucallpa and the Shipibo tribe in San Francisco, the village of my origin. Now at 47, I have spent 30 years mastering the art of natural medicine, dedicated to healing others. My journey included a strict diet that lasted three years, where I consumed only fish and bananas—all roasted—to cleanse and prepare myself spiritually. This tradition of shamanism was passed down from my mother, also a powerful teacher, who continues to work alongside me today.
My years of dedication to developing my natural gifts have strengthened my ability to communicate directly with plants, and they teach me how to blend and combine them in the correct synergistic ways to make their potent sacred medicine .Every time I discover new medicinal plants, I commit to the respective diet required, as the path of shamanism demands constant discipline in dieting to ensure the effectiveness of my work and to uphold my responsibilities as a teacher. This continuous journey allows me to deepen my connection to the natural world and enhance my ability to heal and teach others.
